This is a perfect book for the complete novice observer. Written in a clear and lucid style it assumes nothing on the part of the reader, providing guidance on setting up binoculars and using them to discover the night sky for the first time. There are useful sections ranging from learning the sky to what's in the sky month by month. A perfect introduction to astronomy with binoculars. The book goes on to look at how to find objects and the use of binocular mountings.
SnS comment:
'One of the things we really liked about this book were the 48 full colour photo-realistic star maps, they are laid out by month and their realistic appearance is a big help for finding your way around British back-garden skies.
Lavishly illustrated in full colour, the book has 208 pages and a fully stitched spine to give years of practical outdoor service.
