This Military-style Lensatic Compass folds easily to fit in your pocket and is ideal for trekking and for astronomy in setting up telescopes and target finding.
The accurate compass has a fully damped compass card and features both the standard 0 - 360 degree scale, as well as the 0 - 64 Mil scale (one yard at 1,000 yards). The compass has luminous points on the dial so that it can still be read easily at night.
The standard bezel with two yellow lines at 45 degree angles. You can change the heading reference a known amount without looking at the compass since the bezel rotates with click-stop detents every 3 degrees.
The rear sight has a magnifier to allow concurrent viewing of the magnetic heading when making a sighting. A second magnifier assists in reading the magnetic heading when direct viewing from above. The compass body measures 76mm long, 57mm wide, and 27mm deep, and weighs just 86 grams. The clear cover is 43mm in diameter and the compass card is 38mm in diameter.
A durable solid cast-aluminium alloy body serves to protect this compass from rough use.
