New from Astro Engineering - The AC900 Dark-Cap can greatly improve contrast when used with Newtonian telescopes.

Most modern Newtonian telescopes have the focuser positioned very near the end of the tube and this allows stray light from the area directly opposite the focuser to enter the open end of the eyepiece and cause a lowering of contrast and a reduction in the telescope's apparent light-gathering power - which in turn, reduces the observers ability to detect and view faint targets.

The AC900 Dark-Cap fits all Newtonian telescopes from 6" to 16" and eliminates this annoying problem completely.

The Dark-Cap is made of semi-rigid Priplak and has a black velour interior and features a Velcro strap that attaches to itself to hold the cap firmly to the telescope.
